Dunboyne had five points to spare over Drumree in the Intermediate Camoigie Championship final at Lomans Park Trim

St Peter's, Dunboyne...1-15 Drumree...2-07

Dunboyne came out on top in a closely fought Intermediate Camogie final against Drumree on Saturday in Dunganny.

Dunboyne started well going into a four point lead in the early stages but were stopped in their tracks when Drumree hit the net twice to lead by four points at half time. Just to add another layer of intrigue to affairs, one of the 'majors' for those in the red and white hoops was scored by Aisling O'Connor, daughter of former Dunboyne dual player and ex Meath hurler Johnny who on this occasion was involved in the management of those trying to plot the downfall of his homestead.

After the break Dunboyne rallied and hit the net themselves midway through the second half and this started a flurry of points, Dunboyne outscored Drumree 1-10 to 0-4 in the second half.

This is the first adult championship win in camogie for Dunboyne since 2006.

Scorers for Dunboyne: S Hackett 0-5 , E Burke 0-5, L Reilly 0-2, N O'Connor 0-1, A O'Hara 1-1 A Kane 0-1.

Scorers for Drumree: A O'Connor 1-0, S Rattigan 1-1, L Griffin 0-6.
