Summerhill 2-15 Trim 0-11

Summerhill cruised into the last four of the Meath Senior Football Championship with this comfortable win over neighbours Trim at Pairc Tailteann.

Aaron Lynch gave the Town side a 0-3 to 0-2 lead midway through the first half. Summerhill, playing against the wind, went in at the break 0-7 to 0-6 in front thanks to fine efforts from Eoghan Frayne, Jamie O’Shea, Conor Frayne, keeper Sean Muddiman and Adam McDonnell.

That lead was out to two on the 38th minute when Adam Flanagan raised the games first green flag and put Summerhill in control.

With ten minutes remaining Summerhill were still in control leading 1-13 to 0-11 before Conor Lyons put the issue to bed with his sides second goal. Ben Moran and John Lavelle finished out the scoring for the 2023 Keegan Cup winners and set up a semi final date with holders Dunshaughlin.
