No strangers to each other in the past. O'Mahony's and Dunderry return to Athboy for round 4 of the SHC
Round 4 of the Senior and Intermediate Hurling Championship gets up and running on Friday with some big encounters to look forward too.
Dunderry will be hoping to build on there round 3 win over Kilmessan when they take on last years IHC winners O’Mahonys in Athboy. The big game of the weekend sees holders Ratoath take on Kildalkey. Both have been in cruise control so far in Group A. The winner will go into the last round top of the group. The clash between Kilmessan and Na Fianna in Group B will have a big bearing on a place in the knockout stages. Since losing the opening round to Trim the Enfield Baconstown outfit have won two in a row while Kilmessan were downed by Dunderry last time out.
The Intermediate grade has two mouthwatering ties. The clash of two of the favourites Dunboyne and Rathmolyon should decide who tops group A. In Group B leaders Kilskyre Moylagh take on last years finalists Drumree, who lost out to Donaghmore Ashbourne last time out.
Friday August 22nd
A hat trick of goals from corner forward Cormac Swan helped Kilmessan on their way to a second win in Group A of the Intermediate Hurling Championship.
The Group stages of the Junior Hurling Championship are complete Ratoath take on Dunboyne and Kiltale meet Killyon in the semi finals.
