SHC: First defeat for Kilmessan

Kilmessan's Chris Greene breaks up this Dunderry attack during the Meath SHC clash at Pairc Tailteann

Kilmessan suffered their first defeat in Group B of the Senior Hurling Championship with this one point defeat to Dunderry played in ideal conditions at Pairc Tailteann.

Kilmessan led 0-10 to 0-8 at the break but Dunderry controlled much of the second half and led by four as injury time approached. Mark Horan netted from the penalty spot and Seanie Doyle pointed and a draw looked the likely outcome. Dunderry had other ideas and Mark Leavy sent over the winner just before the full time whistle.

Next up for Kilmessan are Na Fianna at the Navan venue on August 24th.
