Navan O’Mahonys made up for the disappointing final day loss in 2023 when beating Drumree in the Intermediate Hurling Championship final at Páirc Tailteann. Drumree had beaten the town side in the group stages but inspired by captain Cormac Keyes the Hoops were not to be denied at HQ in mid October coming out on the right side of a 1-15 to 1-10 victory. Pat Nolan’s men defeated holders Kildalkey in the quarter final and Rathmolyon in the semi after extra time. Drumree accounted for Donaghmore Ashbourne in a last four meeting at Páirc Tailteann.
