Kilmessan 3-11 Drumree 2-14

Kilmessan and Drumree played out an exciting draw in this opening round of the Junior Hurling Championship played in perfect conditions at Batterstown.

There was no separating the sides at half time, 2-6 each, with Senan Connell and Finn Conroy raising green flags for Kilmessan.

Conroy got his second goal early in the second half but a late point from a free earned Drumree a share of the spoils.
