Moynalty's Sean Cassidy

Moynalty 4-14 Slane 3-7

Moynalty travelled to Slane on Monday night for the second league game in Division 3, hoping to build off a good result last week in Round 1 against Na Fianna. Seán Cassidy found the back of the Slane net in the first half to give Moynalty some breathing space, however Slane hit back with a penalty of their own to stay in the game. Shortly before half time Odhran McMahon brilliantly turned over the ball for Moynalty high in Slane’s half, and the move was finished off with a goal by Seán MacMahon to leave the half time score Moynalty 2-09 Slane 1-05.

Moynalty were more dominant in the second half, continuing to win their individual battles across the park and it reflected on the scoreboard as the visitors pulled ahead.
