New Meath manager Steven Clynch

Former star Steven Clynch was last night appointed as manager of the Meath senior hurling team.

The Kilmessan clubman takes over from Seoirse Bulfin who resigned from the post last week.

Clynch was part of Bulfin's backroom team and played at all levels for Meath.

He will be assisted by Kiltale’s Trevor Cummins who takes the role of head coach.

Meath open their Joe McDonagh Cup campaign on Saturday April 20th away to Down.
