Notable achievements by clubs and county players singled out

History makers. Kildalkey captains Aaron Traynor (Junior), David Conneely (Senior) and Shane Reilly (Intermediate) along with the Tommy Kane Cup, the Jubilee Cup and the Mick Leonard Cup.

Chairman John Kavanagh congratulated Kildalkey on their wins in the senior, intermediate and junior hurling championships and said it was a tremendous achievement. He sent his best wishes to the senior hurlers who take on Clodiagh Gaels (Offaly) in the AIB Leinster Club Intermediate Hurling Championship this Saturday.

Rathkenny were also congratulated on their run in the Leinster Club Intermediate Football Championship and wished the best in their semi-final against Dublin champions Scoil Ui Chonaill on Saturday week.

Rathkenny delegate Barney Allen asked the other clubs in the county to come out and support the team.

The chairman also congratulated the eight Meath players named on the Tailteann Cup Team of the Year and the five players who won places on the Champion 15 Hurling Team of the Year as well as Mathew Costello and Jack Regan on their individual awards.

The publication for the recent county football finals compiled by PRO Brian Kelly came in for praise from a number of delegates. Leinster Council delegate Mairead Delaney said the programme should be submitted for a MacNamee Award.
