After watching the girls take home the Division 3 camogie title the day before, the boys completed a memorable double for their school by defeating Kill NS in the Allianz Meath Cumann na mBunscol Division 4 Hurling final at Trim.

Kiltale laid the foundations for this success in the opening half at the end of which they led 2-3 to 0-2. The very impressive Sean Phelan scored 1-3 while Frankie Gilsenan raised their second green flag.

Kill were back in the game in the early stages of the second half. Captain Tadgh Fagan 1-1 and points from Jonas Dempsey and Nathan Doherty narrowed the lead to a single point before Ruairi McGrath notched Kiltale’s third goal. Minutes later Gilsenan raised their fourth green flag to put them back in control.

Kill kept going and were rewarded with another goal from Fagan before referee Kevin Higgins blew the full time whistle.
