Meath have always produced some outstanding half forwards.

Nigel Nestor donned the Number 12 jersey in the 1999 win over Cork. The Blackhall Gaels star came on in the Leinster semi final win over Offaly and scored points against Dublin (Leinster Final) and against Armagh in the All Ireland semi final.

The wearer of the Number 12 jersey in 1996 needs no introduction. Graham Geraghty was arguable one of Meath's best ever footballers. The Seneschalstown star captained the Royals in '99 at full forward. Geraghty has won every major honour in the game including 2 All Ireland's, 3 Leinster's, 2 NFL's, 2 All Star's and represented Ireland in the International Rules series.

PJ Gillic was one of the unsung heroes of the All Ireland wins in 1987 and 1988. The youngest of that brilliant squad, was a real powerhouse on the wing, who could play in any central position, and could always be counted on getting crucial score. The Carnaross clubman won 5 Leinster's, 2 All Ireland's, 2 NFL's and amazingly an All Star Award escaped him.
