Meath 6-9 Down 0-5
The Minor camogie team travelled to Clonduff on Saturday 7th February to take on Down, following their win the previous week against Armagh on home turf.
The hosts won the toss and opted to play with the wind which was considerably strong on the day. Meath had all the hard work to do in the first half as Down got the first few scores on the board. The girls held strong against the wind and a goal before half time saw just a point between them in favour of Meath at the half time whistle.
Meath took advantage of the wind in the second half and extended the lead with a couple of early points followed by 2 goals in close succession. The home side were denied by a very strong defence and only notched up 1 more point in the second half. The Meath forwards kept the pressure on and continued to add to the score line finishing comfortably with a final score of 6-9 to 0-5.
