St Peter's Dunboyne continued their winning start to the Div 3 hurling league with a single point victory under lights against Navan O'Mahony's in Paddy O'Brien Park on Friday night.
Michael Dunne was the star of the show finishing with a tally of 1-9
Dunboyne led by 6 points to 4 at half time thanks mostly to the accuracy of Michael Dunne from placed balls. This lead was was short lived as Dunboyne conceded 1-1 within a minute of the restart followed up by a sustained period of dominance for O'Mahony's. The key turning point was a long range free that ended up the O'Mahony's net to keep Dunboyne in the game.
Point's from Ben O'Dwyer, Stephen Moran, and Michael Dunne gave Dunboyne a 2 point lead going in to the last 10 minutes and held on for the narrow victory with excellent defending from Darragh Finlay and Joey Crofts.
