Meath GAA awards 2018: Burke honoured with 'Footballer of the Year' title

Mickey Burke has been chosen as Meath GAA’s ‘Footballer of the Year’ for 2018 while Alan Douglas is the ‘Hurler of the Year’.

Meath GAA has released its list of annual award winners for the year just coming to an end and it contains good news for Longwood’s Burke and Trim’s Douglas.

James O’Hare (Rathkenny) was a key player in the Leinster MFC winning side and he gets the nod as ‘Young Footballer of the Year’.

The ‘Young Hurler of the Year’ is Kiltale’s Ronan Ryan.

St Peter’s, Dunboyne’s achievements in winning SFC, JFC and U-21 FC honours is recognised with the ‘Club of the Year’ accolade.
