Paddy Durcan will captain the Mayo senior footballers for a second successive year.
The Castlebar Mitchels clubman skippered the Westerners to Allianz League success last year and will be hoping to get his hands on further silverware in 2024. An All-Star in 2019, he has been a mainstay of the Mayo team since making his debut against Kerry in the 2015 Allianz League.
Manager Kevin McStay has also opted to retain Tommy Conroy and Stephen Coen as vice-captains. Mayo get their Allianz League defence underway against neighbours Galway on Sunday week, January 28 in what is a repeat of last year’s final.
