Div. 2 League: We suffered another defeat in this division last Sunday evening against the Clans in Dundalk. Although we lost by six points the game was a lot closer than the score line suggests. Indeed with only five minutes to go the game was a draw and we were down to 14 men but the Dundalk side had the advantage and finished the game better, but the team played well and it was a great effort. With only one win in five played we are at the wrong end of the table, it’s time to put the shoulder to the wheel boys if we want to stay in this division.

Team: Stuart Reynolds; Keith Ryan, Jack Saddlier, Dean Corrigan; Emmet Byrne, Stuart Osbourne, Jackie Agnew 0-5(2f,45); Conor Kiernan, Evan Caldwell; Conor McGill 0-1, Dean Stanfield 1-2, Cian O’Dwyer; Brendan Saddlier 0-1, Andrew Keenan, Bernard Osbourne 0-1(f). Subs Sean Cairns for C. O’Dwyer.

Louth: Congratulations to two of your underage players who are in the Louth GAA talent Academy squads, Conal Clerkin in under 14 and Justin Cooney on the under 15. Well done to both and all involved.

Cúl Camp: We hosted the Kelloggs cúl camp last week with up to sixty children in attendance. It was fabulous weather for the week and the coaches had their hands full keeping the kids hydrated. Well done to all involved especially our camp coordinator David Dunne.

Div. 6A League: We got our second win in this division last Tuesday night against St. Brides. It was a high scoring very entertaining game with the result in doubt until the very end of the game. Once again thanks to all for lining out, the next game in this division is down for August 10th away to St. Kevins.

Team: John McLoughlin; David Neasy, Micheal Cairns, Liam Kiernan; Stefan O’Hanrahan, Jack Saddlier, Brendan Saddlier; Sean Cairns 1-1, Ciaran O’Brien; Paul McKeever 1-2(1f), Dean Stanfield, Tadhg Kearney; Dara McDonnell, Conor Culligan 1-8(3f), Jamie Murphy 1-0 Sub Stephen Hoey for P. McKeever.

Masters: Are you 40 or over and still have the passion to play, Louth Gaelic Masters are participating in this year’s Masters Championship. If you are aged 40 (in 2021) or over then contact [email protected] or drop a message to 086-8500186. Training has started for the All Ireland Championship series which starts in September.
