Div. 2 League: We got our first win in this division last Sunday night against our neighbours Naomh Fionnbarra in the Grove. We got off to a slow start and got our noses in front just before the half time whistle with a goal from Dean Stanfield. In the second half we pulled away and were well worth the win in the end. It was a far better performence than the last game against the Irelanders and long may it continue. We play Dundalk Gaels next Saturday evening at 7.30pm in the Ramparts.

Draws: The Louth GAA club championship draws 2021 will be held tomorrow night 7th July in Darver and will be live on LúTV and also on LMFM radio from 8.00pm.

Underage: Just a word on our underage teams, our under 13s have won their first three games in division one and under 15’s have also won their first three games in division one. Our under 17’s which is minor now played their first game last Friday night and I believe they won but I can find no record of the result. Well done to all involved, both players and mentors, keep up the good work.

Cheque: Congratulations to Conor Lynch from the Sean McDermotts who raised €7,403 for SOSAD through his kick a point fundraiser last month when he kicked a point in every club in the county. Well done Conor and for a great cause.

Coaches: The club is in urgent need of coaches to help out with our underage program, if any of our senior coaches or senior players could help out for an hour on Friday evening or on Saturday morning it would be very much appreciated. If any parents of the children would like to lend hand please contact David Dunne 087-1378872 and we can get the appropriate paper work in order for you to start coaching.

Cúl Camp: The O’Connells Cúl Camp will take place from Monday 19th July to Friday 23rd July; places are limited due to Covid and a number of camps in the county have already sold out due to the limited places.
