Div. 6A League: The less said about this game the better, a complete shocker, 47 minutes to score a point. I didn’t think it was possible for so many lads to have a bad game all at once, I was wrong. Two men in their 40s the best we had on the night, enough said! Congratulations to Tadhg Kearney and Dara McDonnell on making their adult debut’s for O’Connell GFC, and also to Dara who celebrated his 18th birthday last week as well. The good thing about that Dara is you now qualify for adult pocket money, best of luck with the negotiations on that one Malcolm.

Team: Cian Geeney; Stephen Hoey, Micheal Cairns, Liam Kiernan; Stefan O’Hanrahan 0-1, Keith Ryan, Conor Martin; Conor Culligan, Dean Stanfield; Andrew Keenan 1-0, Dean Corrigan, Tadhg Kearney; Dara McDonnell, Paul McKeever 2-2(1f), Jamie Murphy. Subs Cian O’Dwyer 0-2 for D. McDonnell, Kyle Daniels for J. Murphy.

Coaches: The club is in urgent need of coaches to help out with our underage program, if any of our senior coaches or senior players could help out for an hour on Friday evening or on Saturday morning it would be very much appreciated. If any parents of the children would like to lend hand please contact David Dunne 087-1378872 and we can get the appropriate paper work in order for you to start coaching.

Louth: Hard luck to the Louth Seniors who lost out to Offaly in the Championship on Sunday after extra time. Congratulations to Louth Ladies on winning the division 4 league title also on Sunday, and well done to Louth Minors who defeated Westmeath in the first round of the championship and will now take on Laois in the quarter finals.
