Back: The green light has been given for adult club training to return in the Republic of Ireland from 10th May, while games will resume four weeks later on 7th June, although no spectators are allowed to attend. Louth CCC will now start to put together a plan for the start of the season, hopefully by the end of June as long as all clubs are in agreement. The CCC will hope to have a full league and championship program with promotion and relegation in all divisions.
Coaches: Coaches are wanted for the Kellogg’s GAA Cul camps 2021, they are looking for coaches (18 Years +), Supervisors (18 Years +) and camp assistants 16-18 years old. The O’Connells Cul Camp will take place from Monday 19th July to Friday 23rd July; places are limited due to Covid. TV: TG4 will broadcast an unparalleled comprehensive schedule of Gaelic Games with 25 games live and exclusive from the Allianz Leagues (Football and Hurling) over the coming months. The station will show at least four live games every weekend, with one game on Saturday and three games every Sunday; two of which will be live on TG4, while a third will be available to view live on the TG4 Player App, in addition to deferred full coverage of the game on TG4 later that day. TG4’s live coverage begins on the weekend of May 8 with Allianz Hurling League action including; Westmeath v Galway, Wexford v Laois, Cork v Waterford and Antrim v Clare. In addition to the live coverage of the Allianz Leagues games, GAA 2021, TG4’s weekly Gaelic Games TV highlights show, returns on Monday May 10 at 8pm. The series will broadcast all the best action from the previous weekend’s games. RTE have announced that they will show three Allianz League games next month. All three games will be broadcast on Saturday evenings and start on Saturday 8 May with the clash of Limerick and Tipperary in the hurling league. The following weekend sees Tipperary hurlers in action again, this time against Cork. On Saturday 22 May football returns with Donegal taking on Monaghan in Division 1 North.
Ref’s: Louth GAA are currently looking for referees, with the imminent return to play there are only a small number of referees in the county to cover all juvenile and adult fixtures. All clubs are asked to get behind this recruitment drive, if your club hasn’t got a Ref you are asked to get one and if your club can recruit more please do so. Without referees there will be no games, all new referees will receive their jersey, socks, shorts and kit bag upon successfully completing the relevant training.
