Due to refurbishment works, the capacity of Glennon Brothers Pearse Park will be restricted to approximately 6,000 for Sunday's Leinster SFC quarter-final between Longford and Meath.

Works to remedy the Longford venue's well-documented subsidence problems have commenced, resulting in the reduced capacity. The East Terrace can currently hold 4,200 spectactors, while there are 2,000 seats available in the West Stand.

County secretary Peter O'Reilly told the Longford Leader: "There will be minimum capacity on the North Terrace if required. As the South Terrace (Town End) is being completely rebuilt, it will not be available until later in the summer.

"We apologise for any inconvenience these ongoing refurbishment works may cause and request your patience as these works when completed (in late September) will, we hope, enhance your experience of Glennon Brothers Pearse Park."
