League Action: Our senior team was defeated by Longford Slashers on Saturday evening in Michael Fay Park. On Sunday, our second team took on a very strong Killoe side in the junior championship in Páirc na nGael. Although the team was outclassed on this occasion, they showed good fighting spirit to the finish. A speedy recovery to Conal Murphy who picked up an injury during the game. Team: Ollie Duffy; Thomas Conefrey, Daragh O’Toole, Joshua Gray; Jason Grimes, Kevin Donohoe, Jamie Conboy; James Mimnagh, Noel Reynolds; Karl McNerney, Jason Murtagh, Conal Murphy; Jimmy Kiernan, Ciaran Donohoe, Patrick Mimnagh.

First Holy Communion: First Holy Communion will be celebrated by our Parish Priest Fr Pat Lennon in Legga on Saturday next (19 September) at 11am. We hope all the children and parents have a wonderful day. To comply with the HSE health guidelines on the control of COVID-19 and to ensure the safety of those attending, the capacity of the Church is restricted and parents have been advised as to who can attend on the day. Ushers will be on duty and those attending are asked to follow their direction to ensure the safety of all present. Due to the necessity to comply with the health guidelines, unfortunately it will not be possible to accommodate grandparents, aunts, uncles or wider family members of those receiving First Holy Communion. For those who cannot attend in person, First Holy Communion and all other Masses from both Legga and Moyne churches can be viewed live online via webcam. To view Mass via the webcam, go to www.churchtv.ie/legga or www.churchtv.ie/Moyne Thank you to Fr Pat for making this service available to all those from the parish and beyond who are not in a position to attend Mass.

Leaving Cert: Congratulation to all our players and those in the parish who received leaving cert results in the past week. Best of luck in the coming weeks as you embark on the next stage of your careers.
