Cavan made it two wins out of two in Division 3B of the Allianz Hurling League after seeing off Warwickshire by 2-20 to 2-9 at Kingspan Breffni this afternoon.

Rian Delaney’s goal saw the Breffni men hit the front on 23 minutes and they wouldn’t relinquish it, taking in a 1-10 to 1-5 lead at the half.

Anthony Sheridan found the net for the hosts eight minutes into the restart and, while Luke Hands pulled back a brace of points for Warwickshire, frees at other end from Canice Maher would help Cavan secure the comprehensive win.

Leitrim also recorded their second win of the campaign by overcoming Lancashire on a 3-21 to 3-16 scoreline in Drumshanbo.

Brendan Delaney registered two goals for the home side in the first-half but it was the Exiles that led by the narrowest of margins at the halfway stage (3-9 to 2-11).

The visitors extended their lead two three early in the restart but Stephen Goldrick’s 42nd minute goal turned the tide for Leitrim, as Brendan Delaney and Joe Murray helped to point them towards victory.
