Ex-Kildare goalkeeper and former Armagh manager Shane McCormack is set to be named as the new Meath ladies football manager.
The Allenwood native will take over the reins from Jenny Rispin, who filled the role on an interim basis following Davy Nelson’s departure after just eight months in charge. The Royals recorded just one win from seven National League games this year and lost to Dublin in the Leinster final before their bid for a three-in-a-row of All-Ireland titles was ended by Kerry at the quarter-final stage.
McCormack guided Armagh to promotion to Division 1 of the National League last spring, having previously served as a selector and coach when the Orchard County won two Ulster titles.
TweetMeath LGFA wish to announce that Shane McCormack from Kildare, will be proposed by the Selection Committee as our new Senior Football Manager.
