Kerry joint-manager Declan Quill says there is plenty more to the Kingdom’s attack than just Louise Ní Mhuircheartaigh.
Ní Mhuircheartaigh has struck a sensational 4-44 thus far in Kerry’s pursuit of the Brendan Martin Cup, with 1-10 of that coming in the semi-final victory over Mayo the last day.
The Corca Dhuibhne will be the primary focus for the Dublin defence in tomorrow’s All-Irelan SFC final at Croke Park but, as Quill points out, the Munster women have plenty of strong forward options heading into the decider.
"We have six very good forwards. Look at Hannah O’Donoghue, she kicked three points from play the last day against Mayo before she had to go off injured at half time," he told RTÉ Sport.
"Niamh Carmody is very good to chip in with scores, Niamh Ní Chonchúir has been in very good scoring form as well this year.
"It was never down to Louise. I suppose looking at the Meath performance she only scored three points and we still pulled through that night.
"Look we do rely on Louise, that’s no secret, we don’t hide from that and she’s a brilliant player and a brilliant leader in our team.
"We have plenty of girls who can step up and take scores too."
