Kerry star Louise Ní Mhuircheartaigh has been named the Croke Park/LGFA Player of the month for July.
The Kingdom sharpshooter hit 1-10 in the All-Ireland SFC semi-final victory over Mayo a week ago and is the current top-scorer in the championship with 4-24 to her name.
Ní Mhuircheartaigh and her team mates are currently gearing up for a final showdown with Dublin on August 13th at Croke Park where they will look to banish the ghosts from last year’s defeat to Meath on the same stage.
With Síofra O’Shea a long-term injury, Ní Mhuircheartaigh will assume the captaincy duties for the clash against the capital women on Sunday week.
