Meath LGFA go in search of new senior manager

Meath manager Jenny Rispin

Meath senior ladies are on the look for a new manager after inviting potential candidates to apply for the position yesterday.

Former Royals star Jenny Rispin came in as interim manage of the team in June, replacing Davy Nelson after that latter had stepped down as Eamonn Murray’s successor midway through his first campaign in charge.

Rispin steered the team to an opening win against Waterford in their All-Ireland SFC defence before defeat to Donegal put them into an away quarter-final.

In a repeat of last year’s decider, Meath faced Kerry 10 days ago and relinquished the Brendan Martin Cup after a 2-8 to 0-10 defeat in Tralee.

Meath LGFA have now invited expressions of interest for their next senior manager, with the closing date for applications being Friday, August 10th at 5pm.
