Meath star Vikki Wall contributing a scoring performance for her new club North Melbourne as they defeated Geelong 16-14 to reach the WAFL semi-finals.

Cork teenage football star Erika O'Shea missed out for the Kangaroos with an eye injury but is expected to be available for the Kangaroos next outing against Richmond.

North Melbourne led by 14-10 at the halfway stage and had the same margin (15-11) by the third quarter before the Cats came with a late push, with Shelley Scott missing a late opportunity.

Geelong’s exit meant the end of the road for Mayo’s Rachel Kearns, while the other semi-final sees holders Adelaide through despite a 48-27 defeat to Melbourne Demons.

Dublin’s Sinead Goldrick and Blaithin Mackin of Armagh both featured for the Demons as they finished strongly to seal a preliminary final spot against either Collingwood or the Western Bulldogs.
