Ailish Considine is facing a spell on the sidelines after a ‘dangerous tackle’ forced her out of Adelaide Crows’ 47-point AFLW win over Greater Western Sydney on Sunday.
The tackle by opponent Tarni Evans forced the Clare native out of the action halfway through the third quarter at Blacktown International SportsPark.
New concussion protocols means Considine is like to be unavailable for selection for 12 days.
Speaking to theage.com, Crows coach Matthew Clarke said: “Obviously, there is a new protocol in place so the medical team will manage that going forward, if it turns into a 12 days minimum then clearly next week becomes not viable.
“Pleasing she was well. She’s fairly coherent now and hopefully it’s on the minor end of things.”
