Memorable weekend for Kildare ladies football star

Claire O'Sullivan ties the knot with her fiancé Brian O'Flaherty just days before lining out for Kildare in the championship.

Kildare ladies football star Claire O'Sullivan capped off a memorable weekend by lining out for the county in their 2-11 to 1-12 victory over Clare, less than 48 hours after getting married.

The key defender came on as a second half substitute in Banagher yesterday and played a leading role as the Lilywhites made a winning start to the All-Ireland intermediate championship campaign after having exchanged vows with her fiancé and fellow Carbury player Brian O'Flaherty on the Friday.

Congratulations to Claire and Brian!
