Kilkenny legend JJ Delaney has joined his county’s U20 hurling management team for the 2023 season.
It was announced yesterday (Friday) evening that manager Mark Dowling has included Delaney as part of his backroom team, along with Liam Egan (John Lockes), Robert Shortall (Clara) and Mullinavat’s Tom Aylward (S&C).
The appointments were ratified at the November Kilkenny county board meeting.
A nine-time All-Ireland SHC winner with the Cats, Delaney also has 11 Leinster titles, eight National Leagues and seven All-Star to his name.
The Fenians clubman announced his retirement from inter-county hurling in 2014.
