Glenn Ryan is to set to continue as Kildare senior football manager for a third year.
It is being widely reported that the former captain and centre back will be reappointed at the next county board meeting. Ryan was initially appointed for a three-year term, subject to a review after the second year.
While Johnny Doyle and Anthony Rainbow are remaining on as selectors, Ryan requires a new coach after Dermot Earley recently took up a position with the United Nations in Brussels.
The Round Towers clubman will serve a two-match suspension at the start of next year's Allianz League arising from comments he made about Mayo referee Jerome Henry following the Lilywhites' All-Ireland SFC preliminary quarter-final defeat to Monaghan in early July.
