'Voice of Croke Park' retires from teaching

Croke Park stadium announcer Jerry Grogan has been wished well on his retirement as principal of Holy Trinity Senior National School in Donaghmede.

Originally from Caherciveen, Co. Kerry, Jerry has been teaching in Dublin for the past four decades and has been deeply involved in Cumann na mBunscol activities for much of that time.

Jerry, who has remained a passionate Kingdom supporter, has been part of the Croke Park match-day team for 38 years and been the stadium's PA announcer for the last 16 years.
