Causeway were crowned Kerry senior hurling champions for the ninth time following a hard-fought victory over rivals Ballyduff at Austin Stack Park this afternoon.

A goal by Brandon Barrett - scorer of 1-7 - two minutes into injury-time sealed a deserved 2-15 to 0-16 win for Stephen Goggin's side.

With 3,490 spectators looking on in Tralee, Colum Harty ghosted in behind the Ballyduff defence for the game's opening goal on 26 minutes to push the would-be-winners into a 1-9 to 0-8 half-time lead.

Four pointed frees from Padraig Boyle reduced the gap to the minimum twelve minutes after the restart, but, inspired by Barrett, Causeway finished the strongest to claim the spoils.
