All Ireland club JFC final: Clonbur reel in 'Tresk

Galway's Naomh Pádraig stole it at the death to claim All Ireland Junior football honours over a gallant Derrytresk side at Croke Park on Sunday.

Despite been infront for three quarters of the hour, Naomh Pádraig eventually wore down a tiring Derrytresk outfit to win by a single point in the end.
The Ulster champions got off to a superb start and deservedly went in at the break 1-4 to 0-3 ahead. Corner forward Niall Gavin got their goal from the penalty spot after a foul on Paul Campbell. Within a minute, Derrytresk were awarded a second penalty but this time 'round 'keeper Pauric Walsh got it spot on to deny Gavin.
Naomh Pádraig got a flying start to the second half when Alan Kyne buried to the 'tresk net.
The Tyrone side quickly cancelled out Clonbur's goal with three points in succession but the third point from Gavin was to be their last score of the day as they failed to score for the remaining 17 minutes.
Clonbur, and Derrytresk to a lesser extent, had plenty of scoring opportunities inside the last 10 minutes but failed to take advantage.
The Connacht champions finished with a flourish, outscoring their opponents five points to nil in the last quarter. They went ahead for the first time with a point from Liam Kearney two minutes from time.
Derrytresk fought back and a had chance to draw level in the dying moments but Naomh Pádraig held on despite having Liam Diskin dismissed.
