Very little chat on the 20's considering how impressive they've been to date. Looks like they'll play kildare in the semi final, should be a good test.

Any word on McIvor, he seemed to go off holding himself against Longford? He's been the form midfielder in the competition imo, hopefully he's good to go..

Think he'll be fine. Have been impressive to date but definitely a week group. Hopefully O'Bric can make it 3 semi final wins against Kildare in a row. Would be an excellent achievement as we hadn't made a final in 23 years before that

Hopefully with the seniors out a decent meath crowd could get down for the semi, they deserve some support. It's hard to say enough good things about Cathal O'bric, love watching his teams.

Wired game, Each team had their periods of dominance from both teams overall. Commons stood up when needed in the last quarter. Big unit that can move and score. Would like to think he'll be involved in the seniors in the next year or two

Commons has got AFL written all over him I'm afraid. It's only a matter of time

Disappointing conclusion to the campaign after 3 good wins. We just didn't get the rub of the greed unfortunately - somehow ended up with an away fixture even though we were group winner and Kildare had to go through a quarter final, a 3 week wait from our last fixture and a couple of big calls (incl. the penalty went against Meath). All that said its great that Meath are very competitive in the province, its hard to forget that only a few years ago we were getting annual hidings at U-20 level. Cathal O' Bric deserves a lot of praise and with a bit of luck this team could have went a lot further.

There are a few players in the group that are well capable of stepping into the senior squad next year.

I reckon he'd be gone by now or atleast had trials. Also think he's a bit stockier than what AFL clubs target. They generally want thoroughbreds who can run all day and do tagging roles similar to wing backs here. Commons is an explosive athlete but don't think you'd say running is his strength. Or maybe I am just in denial

Commons had an excellant club championship last year with Senchelstown. He has the size and shooting ability to be a really good senior intercounty player. Wonder will Robbie Brennan take him in now to take a look as its a good time given the break. We have lots of big men but he is an excellant 2 point shooter. Was suprised the team didn't work better situations for him to get shots away. Think he is better coming out and shooting from the arc. Sam Jordan is a very tigerish defender that may be worth a look too. Scanlon looks like a good played as does Cormac Smith but he is still only under 20 next year.
