By things getting worse before they get better I mean more people are expected to leave.

Replying To begining:  "A disaster for Meath football losing the 2 lads.

We clearly don't have the expertise within the county to get Meath back competing for Leinsters and Sam Maguires.

RB done what was needed by outsourcing 2 coaches who by all accounts are excellent and loved by a squad who showed real signs of progression this year.
Shame on the CB or whoever for not honoring what was promised to get these lads involved.

Fair play to the 2 lads for knowing their value and will no doubt walk into any intercounty or club setup in the near future.

Meanwhile Meath GAA remains a basket case. Management team decimated and star player gone for the season. Could be a long road home from Tullamore."
"RB done what was needed by outsourcing 2 coaches who by all accounts are excellent and loved by a squad who showed real signs of progression this year". Did Robbie Brennan bring in these 2 coaches or were they brought in by somebody else ? Sources of information suggests the latter. In any case the biggest losers out of this debacle are the players who by all accounts have given 100% commitment from the outset and deserve better.

They were on the ticket of another person that applied for the role.

RB still seen there value and brought them in with him

The two coaches leaving has absolutely nothing got to do with money, how many times does it have to be said. The county board have backed this management and previous management with plenty of funds. It is a completely separate issue than cash.

All these unnecessarily conspiratorial messages. It's extremely unlikely money had anything to do with it. There have been no obvious 'leaks' in the media since RB came in so don't know where that came from. And a lot of people acting like Bernard Flynn's publicly available tweet in which he wrote [the two coaches] "obviously left with no choice" can somehow not be directly referenced on the forum.
I get why RB won't address the matter til after the match but hope he puts the silly speculation to bed with an honest explanation of what happened. And hopefully this past week galvanizes the lads, they're being very quickly written off, too quickly, in some quarters.

If Meath football was at the heart of his interests he wouldn't add fuel to the fire. You can see who really wants Meath to fully succeed and RB is one of those people. Let's see if he gets the help.

Its interesting with the new rules this year i think we dont really need a bigger backroom team...The recent rule changes , aim to make the game faster and more dynamic. Key modifications include the 'solo and go' rule, which allows players to resume play immediately after being fouled without waiting for the referee's signal, and the introduction of a 40-meter scoring arc, awarding two points for scores made from outside this range.

These changes are designed to encourage continuous play and reduce stoppages, potentially simplifying certain aspects of coaching. For instance, the emphasis on quick transitions and long-range scoring may lessen the need for intricate set plays and defensive structures, areas that traditionally require extensive coaching input. As a result, teams might find that they can operate effectively with a leaner coaching staff, focusing more on fundamental skills and adaptability rather than complex tactical instructions.

Personally i think the two lads that left realised this and left on there own terms

I don't think the above comments are the reason the 2 lads left, I think they're after getting coaching roles somewhere else maybe a big club closer to home, the coaching world is no different to the working world where at the minute people are leaving jobs for somewhere else more convenient. Big loss to the county as you could see a marked difference in us for the first half of the league but hopefully Robbie & Conor can get the train back onto the tracks and bring in some more quality coaches

Still none the wiser what happened Corey and Mcmahon after Robbies post game interview. Its very frustrating as a fan. Decent performance today. Encouraging to see Ruairi kinsella kick 1-5 before coming off after 50 minutes, Delighted to see Moriarty get proper game time too. No one player can replace Jordan Morris but if Kinsella and Moriarty could become consistent that could help. Looks like Jack Kinlough season is over, puzzling why the physio let him back on the pitch after clearly picking up an injury. 50 50 game next week against a good Offaly team.

RB is playing the same System he did with Kilmacud, the lads wanted to play a different system with a better defence structure and play on the counter as they thought this was this crop of players best chance of winning/progressing.
Robbie wants to play an open game, almost man on man open football.
Just a difference of opinion and the lads felt that they were not going to progress with those tactics.
Don't shoot the messenger.

Robbie Brennan did not play a man on man open football game with Kilmacud will you stop. Go and look at any of their games, it was the exact same as every other team set up, 15 behind the ball and 15 in attack. That is also not the reason they left.
