Castleknock
Congrats to all the Castleknock Lads who played for Dublin North in their extra time victory over Kilkenny CBS in the Leinster Colleges A Senior Hurling Championship. Congrats to Leah Mullins on picking up her sports star award from the Gazette Group. A trip to Kilkenny for all Adult Hurlers has been organised for this weekend of the 12/13 Feb. Our second Sports Quiz will take place on the 28th Feb with a Poker Classic scheduled for March. Tickets for Dubs v Tipp & Dubs v Cork will be ready for collected on Thurs 17th.
Castleknock Hurling and Football Club are opening their new pitches in Somerton (beside the Castleknock Hotel) on the weekend of the 9/10th April. All are very welcome to visit the grounds to see the great progress made by the club in such a short space of time. Anyone interested in playing for Castleknock (at any level or age) just contact our Club Coach Brendan on 085 1329397. There will be a Table Quiz in the Clubhouse this Thursday 10th February @ 8:30pm in aid of the Adult Hurling section of the Club.

Club membership for 2011 is now overdue and must be paid immediately to any club executive committee member or team mentors. You are not insured in training or matches if you have not payed, there will be an adult registration evening on Thurs 10th Feb in the complex. The intermediate mens team will take part in the annual Paidi O'Sé football tournament on the weekend of 5th and 6th of March in Dingle, County Kerry. This is also an official club trip away, and all paid up club members are also welcome to head down for the weekend. For more details on this, contact club chairman Ivan Sutton on 0876792262. Adult football training continues this tuesday and thursday, gym is open from 6pm. No winner of this weeks lotto, numbers were 11, 15, 25 and 26. Next weeks jackpot is €6,200.00. Under 14 & 15 training Tues & Thurs at 7pm all players are asked to attend. Juvenile registration for 2011 will take place next Saturday morning 12th February, all mentors are asked to text their panels & let them know. For anyone who can't make it on Saturday registration forms must be returned by 23rd February. Training for the senior team is Tuesday 8pm (The ward), Thursday 7.30 (National Aquatic Centre, Sundays 10.30 (The ward).
Junior training is on every Wednesday 6pm (Mulhuddart Community Hall) and Saturday mornings 10am (Belgree pitch, Tyrrelstown.) Children will receive expert coaching in football in a fun and safe environment. All children are welcome even those that have never played before.
Tyrrelstown Gaa club will launch the new initiative Gaelic for Mother starting this February on Staurday mornings at 10am on Belgree pitch. All women in the area are welcome to attend this fun and social event and get fit for the new year. Fingallians
The Leinster Junior Hurling Final will be shown live in the club @ 9pm Friday 11th, giving all members a chance to re-live those magic moments. The DVD is currently on sale to all members - €10 each.
The Semi Finals & Finals of the Football 7's will take place on Friday evening @ 7.30pm with a presentation to the winners in the club after.
Both Junior football squads are back training on Tues & Thurs evenings @ 7.30pm. New players are most welcome.

Our U21 Footballers were beaten in the championship semi final on Tuesday evening by Clontarf.

There continues to be a large amount of activity in Scoil despite the poor weather,with training and challenge games continuing on Alfie Byrne road and in our Clontarf grounds for mens and ladies teams at both Juvenile and adult level. The club dinner dance takes place on February 26th. The LMS competition began last Tuesday February 1st. The u-21 hurlers are preparing for the next round of their championship, while the Intermediate team begin their season with a challenge on Thursday evening. Continue supporting Scoil. Round Towers Lusk GAA Club notes:
Membership is now due for 2011. Rates are as follows- Full €80, Social €50, Juvenile €40, Family €120, Pensioner social €20. Membership forms are available from the clubhouse bar, committee members or by contacting club Registrar Helen Fitzpatrick on 085 1958630.
The Clubs Adult football teams play their first competitive games of the season this coming Sunday, 13th Feb, with both teams having home fixtures. Intermediate team Joy Cup game throws in at 10:30am v St. Pats Donabate, while the Junior team play St. Monicas in the Duffy Cup at 3:00pm. Please come along and support these teams as they aim to get their 2011 seasons off to a winning start on both fronts.
Round Towers Lusk GAA Club run a nursery every Saturday @ 10.45am-11.45am, catering for boys and girls aged 4-7 years old in both Gaelic Football and Hurling/Camogie. At present we are seeking parents who would be willing to help out with running the nursery in any role from coaching to administration/organising. Adult football cups games resume this Sunday for O'Dwyers. The Intermediate footballers play Ballymun Kickhams at 10:30am while the Junior footballers play Parnells at 3pm. Both games take place at home in Bremore Park.
