Derry GAA will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the county's first All-Ireland minor success and St. Columb College's capture of the Hogan Cup next weekend.
St. Columb's College, from Derry city, defeated Belcamp of Dublin in the Hogan Cup decider of 1965. A few months later, the Derry minors - with eight players from St. Columb's involved - lifted the Tom Markham Cup after beating Kerry in the final.
Seven members of two teams - Brendan Dolan, Colum P Mullen, John McGlone, Eugene McCaul, Brian McLaughlin, Eamonn Small and Derry's 1993 All-Ireland senior winning manager Eamonn Coleman - have passed away.
However, they will be represented by family members at next Saturday and Sunday's reunions in St. Columb's College and the City Hotel in Derry respectively.
