The cheque for £11,820.00 was presented by club chairman Jude Mc Closkey to the dancers last week at a presentation dinner
On 29th December 2012, our club St Josephs Craigbane GAC, in the foothills of the Sperrins in Derry held a strictly come dancing night- 'Lily Whites Dance Strictly'.

The '2011 Ulster Intermediate Champions' had a great night and with over 900 people in attendance the club decided to donate all the 'voting' money from the night to charities which had been selected by the dancers.

When the voting money was combined with monies the dancers had collected themselves and the £1000 donation the club made to the winning couple for their charity - the total was over £11,000!

The cheque for £11,820.00 was presented by club chairman Jude Mc Closkey to the dancers last week at a presentation dinner.

The charity partners which will benefit from the cheque are Foyle Hospice, MS Society, The HOPE Foundation, Northern Ireland Childrens Hospice, Sperrin Ward - Altnagelvin, Rainbow Animal Shelter, Vision Aid Overseas, Altnagelvin ICU, Destined, HURT, Children in Crossfire, Alzehimers Society, Foyle Downs Syndrome, Children with Leukaemia & Marie Curie.

St Josephs Craigbane would like to thank everyone who helped make the night a great success and helped make the big cheque for charity.
