look tictac or whatever your called meaths biggest problem is midfield and we need to put somebody in that can move never mind run . if that means putting burke in there at chb so menton can move midfield its worth the risk.burke is a good man to hold a position and great man marker not so bad going forward either.

Were you at any games last year??? because I was and I don't know how you could say that Burke is a good man to hold a position...... every game last year he ran up the pitch Yes...well done... great work.... But he wasn't able to get back up the pitch after his marker.

Not my team but this will be the team.. they are not going to radically change anything or bring players into untried positions..

MOD certainly didnt give these players the league for the laugh. And I hardly think he has a secret team training behind the scene Thats gonna come out and stroll through the leinster series.

The Boy Tic For Tac very smart comment,Dont see any king of team Coming from you..
Only meant that is players who should be certain starters other places up for grabs with 6/7 weeks until championship
Only thing you have done is put up a few comments Giving out about other peoples opinions!!
Give us your All Ireland winning team so!!!

Why does everyone keep picking Lenehan as a half back. The chap while good going forward and can take a score doesn't defend. Everyone can see that. I'd play him as a wing forward, he has the pace and stamina to drop back and link between the backs and forwards and can get a score. Peader's man killed us last Sat night. Everyone is talking about how our defence was so poor on sat night and it was at times but any decent forward will make a good back look bad if the ball coming in is of good quality. The Monaghan players were not put under pressure delivering the ball into the forwards which made our backs look worse that they are. If we can concentrate on pressurising the players in possession out the field then our cause would be greatly helped.

I would have been pushing for KOR at full back and Menton at CHB but after Saturday I am not sure. Menton did very well at CHB. Got up the field well whilst also keeping his man (and the substitute that came on for him) quiet. However I was disappointed with KOR at full back. Granted Conor McManus is a very dangerous forward but I thought Kevin stood a bit too far off him and got turned too easily. Any thoughts ?

Looking at most people's teams is it fair to say that in actual fact while the team itself will be very young, we have a lot of players that already have big match proven ability, keoghan, Gillespie, lenehan, menton, carroll, have all played in either leinster semi final or final add g Reilly to that and its two finals,
then you have k Reilly, Bray Meade, byrne /Farrell. Who have all been there done that. Same as O'Rourke.
gilsenan played league last year, and Newman has lots of college experience
we got to leinster final last year playing alot more debut lads., if memory serves me right ten different lads started thw final last year than two years prior?
Yes curran, wallace, Dalton, and Newman will all be new, but it's only 4 at most 5 lads, we have experience in the team even if its limited, but remember what menton did to O'Connor last year? And keoghan did to doyle. And mcminman. Let's have some faith in team and management. Get behind them

could anyone say if Shane o Rourke will play this year and is he still training with Panel and has he played with his club...I honestly believe him and Donacha Tobin with a fit David BRay and Damien Carroll and M.Burke would make Meath very Potent...Team ...Paddy,Keoghan, Reily, young, burke, menton, tobin ,gillespie reilly, lenihan, carroll,d.bray ,s.bray ,shane,m neman.. .subs.Peadar,farrell,joe,meade,carroll,seamus,,,probably few other subs....With this you could drop shane between the 40and full forward and between him and Carroll now you have 2 play makers...Lots of Options for last 20 mins...when all fit this is a good team..Let me know your taughts

I think from what has happened since mod took over, if you get dropped you don't get back, I doubt David will play or be any part of panel for this year anyway, Shane is not on panel and may be back next year but not this one, also tobin is away so don't know if he will feature this year at all.
id like to know what's story with tom walsh

Peadar Byrne cannot be in any Meath Starting team. OK he scored a great goal last year against Kildare and should be used as an impact Sub but there is no way he should start any game for Meath. His man Ran riot against us for Monaghan and he kicked 3 or 4 terrible wides as well as giving the ball away a good few times. Tough to pick a starting 15 as i still reckon there are 5 or even 6 places up for grabs. We were non existant in Midfield for the first 20mins against Monaghan as well. In the Leinster we need to be quick out of the blocks and build from there. I personally think we could make a Leinster Final and cause an odd shock if we can just up are game in the early stages. We have started a lot of games very slowly this year and came back to win or Get close to a win.

So after the alterations to the panel and players coming back in from injury. anybody think there will be changes??

I think games will be long lost by the time all these "super subs" come in..
I can see Meaths season being over before it starts. And by next season it will be all eyes in the management to either suceed or fail.

1. O'Rourke
2. Keoghan
3. Reilly
4. Curran/Young
5. Lenehan
6. Menton
7. Dalton
8. Gillespie
9. Queeney
10. Forde
11. Carroll
12. Reilly
13. Wallace
14. Bray
15. Newman

I feel Meade offers little at midfield so that's why I've gone with Queeney. I thought Forde showed well last year and if he's not injured then he'd be my no.10. Byrne is more effective as an impact sub, thus he is excluded. Menton is a more natural centre back than Reilly.

Does anyone know the story regarding Shane O'Rourke, Forde and Queeney. Are these lads injured or just not being picked?

Wallace was minor last year but pulled out of the squad before the summer due to athletics commitments.

seamus Queeney has been dropped, as has McAnarney, Ward, Crosbie, Rowe, Lyons, McNamara.

Seamusmac. Queeney dropped from panel, midfield won't be changed it'll be Meade and Gillespie. Think Ford is injured?
