7:30 throw in, in Ashbourne. Should be a good game, Meath have a very young anf quick team, hopefully they end our dismal run in the competition.

Anyone got details of the game in Kildare tonight? I heard we lost heavily 1-17 to 1-07. How long is this bad spell with the Juniors going to go on?

You could name plenty of footballers better than what was on display last night. I have nothing against the team picked, young fit and lads who wanted to play so I am not putting them down but management should have approached or got a few experienced lads involved.
Willie McGrath, Gary Coyne, Marty Mullhall, Rory Maguire, Seamus Curry, other Queeney, Steven Clynch, Owen Marsh, Conor McGill, Sean Kane, Ben Malone, Kilbrides main 2 players all worthy of being involved.
It was kildares 2nd choice which makes it hard but may not have lost as tamely with a few of these men on it.

Footballonly - no guarantee them players would have been interested in playing, especially if they have little chance of making the senior squad - and who is 'Other Queeny'!?. Poor display last night, midfield cleaned out, no tactics from Meath and no one able to meet a man coming through the centre. McMahon was very good for Meath though and will probably get a run in the League next year. O Brien, Queeny and Husband were ok too. It was a good idea in theory to go with a young side and the best of these lads now need to be given programmes and have them ready to challange for Senior squad in the next few years

kildare team was only selected from intermediate and junior clubs and was far from our 2nd choice

good few players i expected to be involved were sitting in the stand last night! Paddy Kennelly, Conor Mcgill, Simon Carty (best u21 player this year) , i was also there a bit early and noticed don/ash were training and was told a few were still eligible , Tony Morgan Mattie Devine Conor Carton along with the players named in previous post this team may well have been a lot stronger but kildare looked very good.

I agree midfield was cleaned out but i think kildare were better all over the field they were bigger stronger and quicker. Meath had no game plan at all but some players did show well
