This game is meaningless, except for the right to avoid Dunboyne in the Semi-final. The Vincent/Curraha Combo are the Lambs! RoyalDiehard (Meath) - Posts: 48 - 17/03/2013 15:55:33 1350935 Link 0 |

That is outrageous, does that mean division 1 is down to 3 teams? Growtown (Meath) - Posts: 50 - 17/03/2013 20:48:28 1351188 Link 0 |

They are in Division 1 but as is the case in Meath only 2/3 clubs each year have a chance of winning Div 1. Usually OMahonys, Don/Ash, Dunboyne or Ratoath. This year Ratoath are not as good as in last few years and Simonstown while winning U-16 Div 2 in 2011 are a long way off in Div 1. Vincents/Curraha like Moynalvey a few years ago will have a right go at it if they get their best 15 out. Dark horses for Division 1 Championship could be Dunshaughlin they still have 5 lads with Meath Minor panel and should win Division 2 of the League Havoc (Meath) - Posts: 296 - 23/03/2013 09:59:24 1354467 Link 0 |

Vincents/Curragha have their first real test next week against a rather strong Dunboyne team. It'll be interesting to see how they fair considering a lot of people are ranking them underdogs to win it. Handontheback (Meath) - Posts: 44 - 23/03/2013 16:55:38 1354668 Link 0 |

Well said Havoc. Sums it up perfectly. St. Vincents had their first real against don/ash a few weeks ago, came out of it second best. and yea, I know James mac didnt play. Might have been a bit closer if he had been there-top quality that lad-but they were a good bit behind the neighbours on the night. no.123 (Meath) - Posts: 18 - 23/03/2013 19:54:11 1354799 Link 0 |

Let me tell you this that St Vincents/Curraha team are far from a one man team! very far! I saw them against both Donaghmore/Ashbourne and Ratoath and I was impressed with them on both occasions, especially against Ratoath. I know it might look like they got a hammering off Don/Ash but on the night but in all fairness Ashbourne scored a lot of there scores from frees and St Vincents/Curraha had 14 men for the entire second half. Ashbourne pulled away towards the end. They were extremely immpressive against Ratoath in both attack and defence. There forwards were very sharp, fast and accurate while there defence gave a master class in how to defend as they only conceded 1 point from play in the second half. They will though face far tougher opponents in Dunboyne and O'Mahonys in there next two games. NMG1 (Meath) - Posts: 33 - 23/03/2013 21:14:39 1354869 Link 0 |

I think today proved Curragha are a one man team. Hammered by a weakened Dunboyne team without McEntee Meathgaa5 (Meath) - Posts: 339 - 01/04/2013 13:48:00 1359381 Link 0 |

What a win for Ratoath, They are divils you never know what to expect, Curraha without McEntee got a big hiding dont write them off if they make a semi they will be a different kettle of fish. Simonstown fair play to them rattled into OMahonys Division 1 not as dead in the water as some think glenny (Meath) - Posts: 1119 - 01/04/2013 19:11:13 1359523 Link 0 |

Lads ye all seem to be only interested in Div.1 the whole time, do you have a problem with the other divisions? Royal_Divil (Meath) - Posts: 6 - 02/04/2013 11:51:46 1359718 Link 0 |

Royal_Divil then enlighten us with results and goings on in other divisions. I myself take a keen interest in div1 this year as the 2012 minor div1 championship provided so many pulsating high quality games that I didn't see in lower divisions. Does anyone know where you can get all the results for minor? maybe yourself Royal_Divil?... Juggernaut (USA) - Posts: 110 - 02/04/2013 18:12:58 1359938 Link 0 |
