Getting interesting now - Q-Final Predictions

Cillies to beat Michaels with a bit to spare

Castletown having scraped out of their group ahead of the bracks to find themselves in the semi final after Sunday.

Will be a good game between Kells and Ratoath. If I was a betting man I'd honestly go for a draw, but I'll get off the fence and predict the Kells lads to progress based on form peaking at the right time of the year.

Ratoaths forwards are of senior standard, there's no denying that, but their backs have a long way to go yet. For this reason ill go for a Kells win as Ratoath simply don't have defenders able to cope with them

Ratoath are fecked without Eamonn Wallace, Too Small , Too young, Too light , Too soon
From what I Seen this year they are poor around Midfield area and half backs /Forwards dont pick up a lot of breaking ball
Whether that be down to size / hunger I dont know
They will be there thereabouts next year or year after but this year I think is a bit too soon
especially with Eamonn Wallace missing

Kells seems to be peaking at the right time ,Are in Div 2 Final and are motoring nicely
Laytown are there thereabouts also but are too reliant big time on Reilly so if anyone has any home work done at all will double mark
Reilly and thats the major threat nullified

The rest are all of a similar standard and can beat each other , Was surprised to see Dunderry getting beat the last day
They will fancy their chances against anyone but think fitness lets them down agin the stronger teams that they cant bully

CnaG could be the surprise package!!

Relax there man, Im not having a go at them. Im just pointing out that Ive gone to plenty of games they've played in over the past few years and they failed to fire on the day itself in the championship.
Ive no knowledge of the inner workings of the team this year, or any of the teams in the IFC, Im simply giving the view of some one looking across the fence so to speak. Nothing I said was incorrect, so dont take it as being derogatory towards your opinions or club.

well by that logic mayo shouldn't win the all Ireland because over the last I dunno how many years they have got to a certain stage and then come up against a team where they have failed to 'fire' and lost? games with Donegal, Kerry, Meath and Dublin come to mind.

It didn't stop NOM winning keegan last year? what has any other years performances got to do with this year in fairness.

Your right so. No point trying to debate with someone with tunnell vision. Best of luck to yourself and Cilles on your crusade to Meath, Leinster and All Ireland Glory.

Thought you'd have a bit more fight in ya than that jinxie. Usually the oracle of Meath Football matters

Thanks for the good wishes anyway, feel free to say I told you so IF the time comes

Well Dubsout,... Starting to see a different view yet? ;-)

Jinxie -

Stunned. Shocked. Dismayed.

I really don't know how they do it. Every year! Take nothing away from Michaels, they played good football and deservedly won...But my god.

Would like to see Kells go the distance after their impressive win yesterday. big town like themselves ought to be senior and they seem to finally be getting things right up there.

thelutch take a lie down good man.

Hard luck to Ballinabrackey they played very well last night, bossed midfield in the second half. But unfortunately, the two early goals proved crucial. Ratoath have some good young footballers but are weak. I dont think they will win the championship this year, definetly in the next 2-3 years. Much stiffer challenges lie ahead for Eamonn Barry's men.

Jeez I was spot on. How did this game go?

PortInFaithful, I don't think we're necessarily weak. We were without Eamonn Wallace from the start obviously and to make matters worse, then lost Bobby O'Brien (who's been the best player for Ratoath this season) less than 10 minutes in. Very few teams at any grade could deal with the loss of those two players.
Take nothing away from Kells though. Once they drew level after the first goal, they were never headed and their number 15 had an absolute stormer from frees and open play (he scored a sideline in the first half that was one of the best points I've seen this year). They will certainly be favourites to go up to senior, but obviously that means nothing.

Happy enough with the way the season went though. As long as most of the team can be kept together, I'd be confident they can go furthewr over the next few seasons.

Thelutch I don't think u should say anything anymore, because ever thing u say is wrong! Castletown the only 1 left out of there group, and didn't u say something about a €1000 in the group stages
