Was at Castletown game and Kells game today. Think Ratoath are in for a shock against kells kells will be a bit too clever for them. Whoever wins this in my opinion will be hard beat further on.

Has the making of 2 great semi finals.

Clann na gael v st colmcilles & Ratoath v Dunderry.

Q/F between kells and ratoath will be a good game but i think ratoaths fire power up front should be good enough to take them thru.

St colmcilles & Dunderry will progress in q/f"s easily by 5-6 points.

Edenburt, any relation to Edenburt15 on the Cavan forum? That stretch of road at Whitegate can't be that big...

You'd be surprised how big Whitegate is! No relation.

What was Wallace sent off for, without him things could get very interesting in the championship.

Even if Wallace was available to play, Kells will beat them going on last nights performance. Although you can only beat what's put in front of you so from Ratoaths point of view it was job done last night. I'm just not convinced they can win intermediate yet. Kells to beat them for me.

Cortown did not play up to potential in first half, they'd tell y that theselves, missed.too many opportunities to score... But for a defensive mix up trying to catch a ball and a penalty for a player falling whilst trying ti catch a ball he lost control of, far closer game and doesn't reflect well on ratoath... Ratoath are a very very good team, deserved to win, but I find it hard to see them beating kells...

ratoath will beat kells. remember this time last year wallace wasnt even starting for ratoath so he wont be as big a loss as would be expected.

bobby o'brien is more pivotal than eamon wallace for ratoath so they should be fine.

There was pushing and shoving at the end of the first half after Eoghan McMahon was hit late (which ironically the referee didn't see). There seemed absolutely nothing in it from where I sat. Wallace and his marker were sent off before the start of the second half. Anyone who knows Eamonn would know he is not the sort of player who would hit out so I'd be very surprised if the red was deserved.
loyalroyal, I'm not sure what game you were watching but it was a penalty all day long and not one Cortown player disputed it. It was a rugby tackle in the box while the Ratoath player had possession. And you say that Cortown missed too many opportunities yet fail to mention that Ratoath actually had far more wides than them last night.

Never did Ratoath look like they were going to lose that and 12 points was a very fair reflection on how the game went. I'd hope Eamonn's (and the Cortown player's) appeal is successful but if not, his younger brother isn't exactly a poor replacement.

The brain isn't working today. I meant to say 10 points was a fair reflection of course.

ratoath royal ratoath deserved to win, I never said they didn't, and as far as u saying no cortown player objected... the penalty the ratoath man lost control under pressure and fell reaching 4 the ball, and on first half alone cortown had close to 8 or 9 wides, ratoath had 3 maybe 4... second half ratoath had a lot of wides, and they were higher in fitness levels, no doubt they are a great team and deserved to win, but cortown played poorly, not near to potential and if fitness levels were higher they might have been closer especially with bit more luck, eg: penalty and dropped ball into net, things may have been little better... ratoath have good chance of winning intermediate if they beat kells...
