Jinxie

Ha ha. Tell us apart by DNA results just like Jerry would do. Ha

The DNA results are in Jinxie, every single Louth poster on HS is just squidword under different user names, I knew it!

Meath team vs Wicklow

since it looks like we could have collins, newman and joe in the squad for 27th may the panel starts to look a lot stronger compare the two starting 15s from louth to the one we have a good chance of seeing in championship 1. D. Gallagher 1. D. Gallagher 2. M. Burke 2. M. Burke 3. K. Reilly 3. C King 4. C. King 4. C. O Conner 5. S. Kenny 5. D. Tobin 6. Menton 6. Menton 7. Lenihan 7. G. O brien 8. O' Rourke 8. M. Ward 9. T. Walsh 9. B. Meade 10. G.Reilly 10. G. Reilly 11. S. Bray 11. S. Bray 12. Collins 12. S. Kenny 13. C. Ward 13. C. Ward 14. J. Sheridan 14. J. Queeny 15. P. Gilsenan 15. B Farrell. Lads there is no comparison here at all and this leaves us with Tobin and O conner and Newman and (from what I've heard) P. Byrne and among others and the bench, a lot of you will through newman in for wardy and it is an attractive option to have joe at 11 and FF line with newman gilsenan and bray but at least theres options for us

Some rubbish being posted here re Newman, people are now talking about him, some of whom have probably never even seen him play in person. He is untried and untested at senior level never mind inter county, and before ye all go off on one re sigerson cup, was every player on those sigerson teams on their respective county sides ? No harm bringing onto panel but to say he should be in contention is madness, also it is very bad for other panelists there since november to see new lads coming in weeks before championship

heavy scorer for kilmainham last few years, key part of u21 side and starred in college, what are your credentials for giving someone a shot?

Brian sheridan was the same and at a top club at senior level, championship is not the place for giving lads "a shot"

Lads will ye Cool it re: Mickey Newman. He WON'T be playing for Meath this summer. Any football he plays this summer will be with Wolfe Tones.

I'd hate to be Joe Sheridan going to his next job interview...not one for the long term by the looks of it (luckily for us). In all serious, he is not the Messiah, but is probably worth 1-1 to 1-2 over any other forward we have which are the scorelines you win championship matches by.

joe sheridan back is just nuts , meath will probably go on now and win the all ireland , meath squad have been through so much , regardless of peoples feelings on banty he is charismatic and tough as a nut , the sort of person born to lead ...........meath should get behind their team now , theres a nice core group of players there who have genuine quality never mind the county board come championship their job is completely irrelevant

Its good to hear joe is back, being a good fan of joes, i think it takes more than 1 person to win a leinster never mind an all- ireland but joe is a great boost and he will be a great boost for county and for club. Meath are back in the game!!!

Its a massive boost for meath after a very bad few weeks. Good to have a good news story. I wanted banty to go after louth game as I felt he had lost all credibility. And after all the arguing back and forth that argument is now put to bed. Regardless of my personal feelings on his management he has shown true grit something I hope the players take from all this debacle. After all of us venting our opinions one way or other. It is now time to unite behind manager and team. Let's turn the nightmare league into a glorious championship.

Great to hear Big Joe is back he will ad some bualk and balling winning skills to the foward line which badly needed at this time.I think one of two things are going to happen Meath in the championship they are either going to come out and play like there lives depened on it or they just going to go through the motions probbaly go out on the championship on a damp squip. My team for championship would be

1.D.Gallagher
2.D.Dalton
3.K.Reilly
4.E.Harrington/C.King
5.M.Burke he wil excel in this position
6.S.McAnarey/C.McGuiness
7.D.Tobin
8.S.O'Rourke(if fit enough)/T.Walsh
9.B.Menton
10.S.Bray
11.E.Reilly
12.P.Byrne
13.P.Gilsenan
14.J.Sherdian
15.A.Forde

I also think if M.Newman is available should be on the panel but if he's not forget him and move on but I would also like to see A.Tormey from ashbourne be on panel along with R.Maguire M.O'Sulivan and M.Collins and there are others which like them which just can't think of and I think A.Nestor if his fittness levels improve would be a welcome addition. I think the likes of D.Keoghan D.Smyth C.Gillespie are very unlucky not to start but would denitifly first subs in there positions I think with the likes of M.Ward and C.Ward S.Kenny B.Meade G.Reilly C.O'Connor and G.O'Brien should be dropped from the team and made play for there place again because in recent times the seem to be to comfortable in there positions which comes with the knowledge your not going to be dropped.

great news lets hope he brings leadership to this panel and we see a different animal, re: thickandthin, seems a very odd choice? id go with something slightly different. The players in bold here are ones i think are sure fire to be in bantys 15 come wicklow

1. D. Gallagher
2. M. Burke
3. K. Reilly
4. C. King
5. D. Tobin
6. B. Menton
7. C. Lenihan
8. S. O Rourke
9. T. Walsh
10. G. Reilly
11. S. Bray
12. S. Kenny
13. C. Ward
14. J. Sheridan
15. P. Gilsenan

theres options there like o conner (assuming he regains form) Harrington, P. Byrne, Collins (could play his way in from the bench), S. Mcinarney and B. meade and M. ward if things are going desperately wrong in there, as i said in other forum, this is adding gilsenan, sheridan, walsh, shane o rourke, lenihan and k reilly to the side that lost to louth, these are 6 of our better players to be reintroduced, time to get behind this team, aside from one or two unproven youngsters i think we have the best 15 players in the county there and lets see what they can do

Think McAnarney is a cert to be starting, think he has to start. But overall the team is pretty strong.
