Can you buy tickets outside the ground without having ordered them earlier?

Well that's a decent win under their belts first day out.

6/10 for me. Thought Brian Meade was solid throughout and probably our best performer overall. Kevin Reilly got better as the game developed. Was always going to be difficult against a strong enough breeze first half. Brian Farrell took some nice scores and played well (first half), when supply was limited after a very sluggish start by Meath. But fair play to the lads they got back to within a point at half time, so didn't lave themselves with lots to do for the final 35 mins. Graham Reilly set the second half on fire with some great runs and long range points. Jamie did really well when he came on and I thought Forde, Collins and Keoghan (as a sub) all looked useful at times. Hopefully Carlow will not be a pushover as another good workout is needed before they have a crack at Kildare.

Jinxie, if your out there, I just came on to say well done to day I think I owe that to you. Wicklow have come on an awful lot and got promoted this year, add that to the fact that Meath had their own problems behind closed doors etc so that was the reason I genuinely thought Wicklow was going to win this one, however I didn't see the arrival of John Evans at the time, in fact I was hoping he would come to our rescue, when Luke Dempsey goes, but some how I can see him being part of the Meath dressing room for a long time, it breaks my heart to say it but if we can keep our expected defeat down to single figures I'll be happy, so a semi final spot awaits you lads to meet the winners of Kildare and Offaly after that anything can happen, good luck to you for the rest of the championship.

Just back delighted with the win, very nervy start, but to be expected with everything that has gone on. I thought in the end we won easily enough and a more confident Meath would have this one by 10 points or me,was just vital to get the win.
I thought our best players were the Reillys,Meade(surprisingly),Gillespie was good in patches,Burke kept Glynn quiet, forde showed promise and Farrell was good in spells..
I thought Gallagher was poor and McAnarney, and Cian Ward proved what a passenger he was, with Bray and Gilsenan coming back I would drop Ward,no excuse for him anymore. Keoghan done well when he came on,I would have him and Tobin in the next day

You didn't mention Peadar of Queeney. I think these two lads came on and made a huge contribution. Last two scores came directly of Peadar's work and tenaciousness. Fair play to Farrell he kept us it it in the first half but faded badly in the second. Any word on Kenny. Looked bad at the time but I saw him on the field on crutches at the end. Surely at this stage of his career Joe should not move out the field so much. Overall good win and a decent game of football but this was a Div 4 team in the league. Even if we are coming down and they are coming up next year, you would still expect a result against them.

Decent win Meath. A long way still to go but Carlow shouldn't be a problem. Kildare might start to look over their shoulder at that stage...

Also thought burke had a good game. Biggy was the star. Some very basic errors in first half cost us and will need to be sorted soon.

agree with you ziggy yeah with all thats gone on and the amount of people saying [and hoping] that we would lose it was good to get a win of any kind today. But think you are a little harsh on ward considering the role he was playing, the man is an out and out scorer so cannot see the point in taking him out the field you must use people to their strength, and his strength as he has proven in the past is as a scorer dont know why people especially on this site keep saying he should be out the field

Disagree, doesn't matter were Ward is on the pitch, when he plays inside he just stands there with very little effort or movement

There might be a few corner backs who wouldnt agree with you on that statement ziggy. The reality is if he is given the game time he ll probably still end up as our top scorer and in the county championship as well provided hes left in the full forward line
