Wicklow at 5/2 just so all ye non banty believers know its money for jam. GET ON ! You dont have a hope unless Banty starts young guns like Dalton and Newman.

And how do you propose he uses a player whos heading out of the country in 4 weeks?

id say we might get one more challenge game if even before 27th, so after the returns and players vs westmeath has anyones 15 changed?

1. Gallagher
2. Harrington
3. Reilly
4. King
5. Kenny
6. Menton
7. Lenihan
8. Walsh
9. Byrne
10. Reilly
11. Bray
12. Collins
13. Gilsenan
14. Sheridan
15. Ward

No doubt ill get slaughtered by some for leaving out Forde and O' Brien, but i think this is out best 15, putting peader in at 15 because we have no dominant midfielders at all, so no point having gillespie in there as its just another man who will get hands to the ball and break it, so let peader run around and break it,

i was in-between lenihan and burke for the other spot in the half backs and I'm putting collins in because he's been hyped more so then any other young meath player in recent years and i want to see him play to be honest, lot of options for this spot though

Good enough team. But those who say include ford please remember b farrell also had a good game. So let's not get carried away after +ne performance. I hope evans and giles can instill a more coherent form if play

I think King replaced O'Brien early enough in the game (first half). Although Farrell got 1-2, his goal was just a touch/fist when a ball/shot by Eoin Reilly from distance was heading goalbound. Forde was more lively throughout the game and probably just needs to get a few scores under his belt to gain more confidence. He is not the type of player who goes missing for long spells during the course of a game and that is what we need more and more. Hard to believe that with a tally of 4-14, that some forwards didn't get on the scoresheet.

this is my team, being realistic, wont come near it!However, brilliant fire power up front. Also decided on Seamie half forward as brings in a blend of defensive style. Peadar is super engine leave him in the middle, actually a super fielder. Good honest full back line. Few unlucky to miss out, lenihan, brian farrell, mcguinness, o brien, juicy, queeny, but were sure to have injuries, every team needs 20 lads to win a game

After being In Boardsmill on Monday I would be more postive going into the match against Wicklow because the team seems more united and seem to have more speed direction and balance to there play and I think this is the effect of John Evans and Trevor Giles on the team and it was defenitly there best display since the league against Kildare and if we can get two good wins over Wicklow and Carlow and build some confidence we can go into the Kildare match with good optimise and you never we might pull off and upset because we owe them a beating but firstly we have to get over Wicklow first and the team I would pick with some changes since my last post since watching the match on Monday

1.D.Gallagher
2.E.Harrington
3.K.Reilly
4.C.King
5.M.Burke
6.B.Menton
7.S.Kenny
8.T.Walsh/C.Gillispe
9.P.Byrne
10.G.Reilly
11.C.Ward/E.Reilly/S.Bray
12.A.Forde
13.P.Gilsenan
14.J.Sheridan
15.S.Bray/B.Farrell

I was good to see B.Farrell S.Kenny E.Harrington and G.Reilly returning to some form and by picking this team it allows us to have good bence with G.O'Brien S.McAranry B.Meade D.Carroll C.O'Connor M.Collins C.Lenihan D.Tobin C.McGuiness and was also good to see S.Curran and D.Keoghan and hopefully they will get a chance to prove themselves. Fineally can someone tell me who Ciaran McGuiness is was named on the panel on Monday or was it a miss print for Cormac McGuiness

While I acknowledge the merits of all three teams picked by ye I am still convinced that barring injury Donncha Tobin will start against Wicklow.

greenwood, yeh i wouldn't be against that either to be honest think its between him lenihan or burke for the other half back spot, wouldn't be disappointed if any got it, doubt many would! at least theres agreement on the bulk of the team so hopefully banty thinking same way!

thickandthin

just wondering why forde is cast iron nailed in your team?

Greenwood yr rite about D.Tobin he has been playing well all year and he will be very unlucky not to make the team and should maybe start a head of either M.Burke and or S.Kenny or possible in the half forward line. BigJoeShow the reason i have A.Forde in the team is that he is the best young forward in the county from and I have seen an awful lot of the young players and he is the one that sticks out all the time and thats I think he is worth a place on the team.

ah now surely paddy gilsenan is our top young forward or even graham reilly, do you rank in top 6 of sheridan, ward, gilsenan, bray, reilly, kenny, byrne, farrell, walsh?

I have seen forde a few times this year and in my opinion he just seems to be lacking a little at ic level. He has great potential without doubt. But I would not start him in the championship this year from what I've seen definitely one to bring on. I agree with others on hopefully a return to form from some of our established players.
1. Gallegher
2. Harrington
3 k reilly
4 c oconnor
5. Mcanerney
6. Menton
7. Burke.
8. Byrne.
9. Walsh
10. Kenny/tobin
11 bray
12. G reilly
13 ward/carroll
14 j sherridan
15 gilsennen

I've looked through a few of my posts and there have been changes from each one , and hear lays our problem. No one really knows what our best starting 15 are. And I also think banty could have same problem. Really no matter what way you look at it we will start a untried midfield pairing. Hears hoping as has been said by a few players the team are now a galvanized unit.

wouldnt be nailing forde on to the team yet, I hope he is as good as people say but give him a chance, only in the panel this year. very exciting prospect, but Ive said it before, Meaths forwards are among the top 5 or 6 in the country, so it wont be easy to get in.

There has been a variety of different teams named on this site. Some players are named who are not even on d panel. There must be 8 or 9 players who are certain to start....start by naming these.

Well going by the teams named by everyone, the names that keep cropping up, and as such would seem to be certs would be,

1. D Gallagher
2.
3. K Reilly
4.
5. M Burke
6. B Menton
7.
8.
9.
10. S Kenny
11. S Bray
12. G Reilly
13. P Gilsenan
14. J Sheridan
15.

Their the most common ones being named in almost every team, with McAnarney, Ward, Walsh and a cuple more featuring in a large number of the rest.

id go

1.gallagher
2.
3. Reilly
4.
5.Burke
6. Menton
7.
8. Byrne
9.
10. G. Reilly
11. S. bray
12. S. Kenny
13. C. Ward
14. J. sheridan
15. p. gilsenan

think all of these are likely to start then your left with your o conners, lenihans, mcanarneys, tobin, meade, walsh, gillespie, king, o brien to fill out the remainders, thats pick your best 4 of of those, which apart from walsh and king both of who i have huge time for, its a lot of similar options, i mean he can't go TOO far wrong if he starts the base players

The certs to start if fit are gallagher, reilly, menton, burke, kenny, bray, reilly, joe, gilsennan. All others are in the mix up. But I believe that banty is also very sweet on tobin so if that's case then I'm sure he will be included. Did I miss anyone?
