id expect castletown to be the team to beat... division 1 team surley the best while these division 3 teams who get a good run going against avereage junior teams automatically think they have the right to be favourites... ludacris

No team should be written off at this stage. All have shown promise and with a bit of luck could do it.
Micheals Vs Bracks-> Michaels are one of the biggest teams I have seen this year down the middle but are mobile too. Lynch looked good for them in their last 2 games.
Bracks are a team that plays really well in their system, I think they rely on O Connor, Quinn and Carroll a bit too much. They won't stop the strong Michaels lads easy and Lynch and Regan can kick long scores. I think Michaels are strong enough to beat the bracks defensive system and get to the semi.
Lough Vs Castletown-> Castletown have no standout superstars but have a very solid team and it has been said over the last few years if they only knew how to win tight games they would be making semi finals every year. Ballinlough are nearly the opposite, a lot of talk about Byrne playing great football and leading by example. the lough have been marked as possible winners the last few years but have always dropped short. I can see them beating Castletown in a close match.
I call a Trim Na Fianna final anyway. Trim look to be building it up, a few younger players are doing very well and the stalwarts seem to have a new lease of life. I didn't see the game against Ballinlough but if Toher played mid field then trim won't get away with that if they play Michaels, Himself and Heffernan I have been impressed with so far this year though.
Finally the winners, Na Fianna have the best team in my opinion and should win it. With shane Barrett, dan and jamie queeney and michael foley and very good players all around them they should do it. Have got through two tight matched against Michaels and Dunderry and seem to be able to win those tight games.
In saying all this I could be completely wrong..

I think that comment about Trim was a bit harsh, the pairing of Toher and Murphy in midfield works great. Murphy holds the middle while Toher pulls the strings, the majority of scores have come off him or he has scored himself, so that comment is unjust. Trim have as good a chance as anyone and seeing they havn't lost a game, they must be doing something right. Go back and read the reports and talk to unbiased locals and you'll find out who is really doing the stuff. Typical "townie" backstabbing.

Come on the diehard Trim men.

Sausages, don't get me wrong I thing Toher is a great footballer and is running the show for Trim. I do think the 2 st michaels (he would do fine against bracks mid field of byrne for ballinlough) midfielders will just be too big for him. I don't think he will have the strenght to get position on them for kick outs and would struggle a bit. That is my only concern and I would love to be proven wrong.

I think it will be a Michaels V Ballinalough final. Seen Michaels playing na fianna and if they took there scores in first half they would have done enough to close up shop also Na Fianna were blessed with the second goal they got. They should have enough in them to beat Ballinabrackey. Ballinalough should overcome Castletown in the quarter final they were lucky not to get well beaten by Trim and i think that's their bad game gone out of the way. Na Fianna Trim and Ballinabrackey have some very good players but they are over reliant on them a little to much in theses stages of the championship. Castletown have a good mix but they always seem to let the occasion get to them. Eventual winners ST MICHAELS.

Terrible loss for Ballinabrackey with the news of Damian carroll flying out to Australia for a trial with Syndney Swans this Friday,i wish him the best of luck and hope he gets a career out of it but a terrible loss to the Bracks.

Pretty bad timing too for the bracks if that's true! Big loss for the county too if he does get a contract. He'd need to put in some serious physical training to bulk up if he has any chance of making the big time

Relax man......I was just checking that yee were bet already,of course your entitled to your opinion.....My opinion is that the beating yee got was the best thing that happened to yee, castletown deserve alot of credit to bounce back,i fancy yee to beat na fianna aswell.Trim and bracks game is very hard to call, bracks junior 2 years ago and trim were senior,im suppose trim will be favourites as will na fianna but it could be an all green and gold final !!!

Castletown are an average team, Na Fianna or the Bracks will go senior this year!

I think its a bit harsh calling castletown an average team, any team in the semi finals are a good side. Every team have very contrasting ways of playing. Providing the semis and finals are played in Pairc Tainteann, I believe the fast and open pitch will suit Na Fianna best. Carrying great momentum after thier group stages. Seen Ballinabrackey play on Saturday, they are a good side, but rely heavily on Damien Carroll for scores, and not sure they have enough class to suiit their system, that said, they will take beating. Trim will have their work cut out, but again, a very good side and I actually believe they will topple Ballinabrackey. Na Fianna and Trim final- Na Fianna to win it. just!

Its 4 very evenly matched teams left and I think it can go to anybody at this stage. Personally I would like to see Castletown do well this year because they deserve it. But its in the hands of the players at this stage!!
Will the semi's be in Pairc Tailteann ?

Trim v Ballinabrackey fixed for Dunsany, Castletown v Na Fianna fixed for Trim, both sunday. Cant understand why both games were not fixed as a double header in Pairc Tailteann saturday evening as most expected. I understand that the Junior A and B finals are sunday but the pitch would certainly hold up
