Minor League 2012

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Have watched some of the minor division 1 games with Gaeil Colmcille Simonstown both not to far away from the so called " favourites " plus Division 2 leaders Jenkinstown Gaels and Skyrne will have a say come championship ; look at Moynalvey last year who are now Jenkinstown and have Cillian O'Sullivan and the Harnans on board. My advice is let the lads play stop bitching and moaning at each other and may the best team win .

id agree with d4danger the gap in div 1 between the " big 2 " of ashbourne and dunboyne is closing .. the likes of simonstown and kells are getting stronger while it looks like o'mahoneys and ratoath are getting a bit weaker

Dunboyne , ashbourne and maybe Ratoath on there day are country miles ahead of everyone else , Theres nothing between kells simonstown navan nafianna trim summerhill moynalvey skryne i'd even go as to say clonard and Curraha/St Vincents wouldnt be out of place in that group either , is it worrying that theres very little between div 1 and div 3 ?

Again i agree with the lad above and as i said before st cuthberts who are a division 4 side bet kells, it is worrying when something like that happens.

Was at that challenge game between kells and cuthberts. Cuthberts played well, but it has to be remembered that kells played a weakened team AND gave cuthberts some players including a minor panel member so I wouldn't read too much into that challenge game. Its true the gap between the big two and the rest of division one has gotten smaller, kells and both navan teams are starting to stand up to the big south meath clubs. Good to see and can only be good for meath football.

i said kells are getting stronger and omahoneys are getting weaker. i never said kells are a better side than omahoneys , i just said that kells are improving and clearly omahoneys are getting weaker ... so maybe read my comment carefully before you go running your mouth about it !

Right lads how are the semi-finals in Division 3 going to go on Monday morning in division 3 ?
Clann na gael v Clonard - I think Clonard will nick this one as they have a very strong spine in there team
Curragha/St Vincents v Dunderry - I think Dunderry will win this comfortably as Coogan and Kennelly are in the form of there lives and the best defender and midfielder in Ireland wouldnt stop them.

Dunboyne with a few injuries beat simonstown 2-15 to 7 points. They seem to be ticking over nicely!

In fairness, Dunboyne have been by far the best team in League so far, as shown by being the only team not to lose any game. Looks like theirs to lose.
