I am not comparing our games to soccer all i am saying is i disagree with paying "expenses"
to lads who up to a month ago didnt give a damn about meath football.
Cooney is not someone anyone would have suggested would be in the fray to get the meath
job but then sean boylan wasnt even a football man and look how well he did.

Finally a quick look at bantys "impressive record"
Monaghan manager for six years and not one ulster title
Nearly beat kerry once
Got thumped by tyrone in the ulster final this year and dont forget
he dropped his sub goalie and put his full back in goal a genius move
I wonder what kevin reilly would be like between the sticks !

I agree with that point I feel the committe should nominate one candidate for the managerial position.

By having three people in line for the job it can be a disadvantage for the county and the committe failing

in what they were asked to do.

What the hell are you on about 'NavanGirl',how did the committee fail in what they were asked to do?They nominated the best candidate, open your eyes and start reading all the articles not just a headline. They nominated Banty and the management committee(a different committee from the selection committee) disagreed,if you know anything about Meath football you'll know it's worse than national politics!!

Nine weeks on Sunday to the first O'Byrne cup game against one of the colleges, followed by another home game against Carlow/Kilkenny, a home semi-final against one of LOUTH/Laois/Wicklow/College.The final would be an away game. Although a third rate tournament its nice to see the green and gold in January, Get the manager in quickly. Preperations need to be made.
